Children Activities

Thanks to a grant from the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund, these activities for 6 - 14 years are affordable and well staffed. Get in touch with Vanessa Clarke, our Youth Coordinator who would love to hear from you so that we can make these sessions as user led as possible. Learn2Ride with ILEAP and RDA : Summer Term 2025: Ages 8+ years: 4.15pm - 5.15pm

Our popular horse-riding session is back.

ILEAP has teamed up with the Riding for Disabled HQ at Lowlands for an after-school club to build your confidence around our equine friends whilst learning to ride.  

The group of 6 is split into two smaller groups, each taking turns to ride in the manage.  Beginners will be on guide ropes and each horse has a volunteer to support the participants. As they gain experience and confidence, participants will learn the techniques of steering, trotting and cantering.

Research has suggested that spending time with animals in an outdoor environment is beneficial to mental health and wellbeing.

Please wear long trousers and long -sleeved jackets.  The riding school can provide hats and boots for you to wear, although you are welcome to bring your own.

Sunday Daytrips are Back!

All aboard the ILEAP express for a good old-fashioned day out with friends!  Any dream will do, book your dream ticket with ILEAP today!!

Join Charlie and Vanessa for the final show of Andrew Lloyd Webber's award winning musical, Joseph and his Amazing Techinicolour Dreamcoat at Birmingham Hippadrome.  One of the world's most beloved family musicals with an all star cast!

A short walk from Moore Street Station takes us to The Hippodrome.  

  • We will meet at Stratford Parkway at 11.15am for the 11.30am departure.
  • We will arrive back to Stratford Parkway for a 5.15pm collection time.

Price includes a theatre ticket (stalls) and return train ticket.  One of our reserved seats is a trasfer seat, suitable for manual wheelchair users who can transfer.

Please dress for the weather and bring a packed lunch to enjoy on the train.  If you wish to purchase refreshments from the theatre, or souvineers, please bring money for these.

Sunday Daytrips are Back!

All aboard the ILEAP express for a good old-fashioned day out with friends!

A short walk from Birmingham Station takes us to the brilliant Think Tank Museum.  Join Charlie and Vanessa and discover the indoor and outdoor activities at Think Tank Museum Birmingham as well as the excellent planetarium show.

  • We will meet at Stratford Parkway at 10.15am for the 10.30am departure.
  • We will arrive back to Stratford Parkway for a 4.15pm collection time.

Price includes museum entrance fee, planetarium show and return train ticket.

Please dress for the weather and bring a packed lunch (or money to purchase lunch from the museum cafe).  We probably will not have time to visit the gift shop.

ILEAP’s Holiday Multi Activity Tuesday Club, 16 yrs and over, October Half Term 2025

Multi Activity Club is your chance to Shine!

Purposeful day time activities at our fantastic venue.

We start the day with a relaxed chat, moving in gently to a chilled out and informal activity, making use of the outside sports area, the garden, the youth room, and arts and crafts area. 

Personalised background music helps to keep that atmosphere relaxed as individuals have the opportunity to get creative, get active and have fun in a variety of youth club type activities.

We can provide additional responsibilities depending upon each persons requirements and can tailor our programme to meet the needs of the individual or the group.

Session runs every Tuesday and Thursday during the school holidays
