We anticipate this taking place on a Tuesday and Thursday at Marketability in Kenilworth and in the local community.
Request from ILEAP Member: We are looking for 1 Staff member to assist at our popular drama session on a Tuesday from 6.30pm -8.30pm at Wren Hall in Wroxall
Request from ILEAP Member: My son, T, is five years old, has a big personality, loves the outdoors, animals and life - he is the happiest soul and has the biggest smile. He is diagnosed with ASD as well as demand avoidance, has had an EHCP since he started school in September 2021 and attends Exhall Grange specialist school. He has an older brother, J, (seven) who is also autistic as well as having a diagnosis of ADHD. I am based in Kenilworth and am looking for someone to take T out each Saturday so that I can take J out for some fun too.
Because of both of their needs, it is very difficult to take them both out on my own and they have very different desires and interests.
T's favourite place in the world is Hatton Country World, where he is a member as I know iLeap is, therefore most Saturday's would be trips here until T's interests changed. He love animals, soft play and adventure! So I'd be really open to ideas.
I really want both of my sons to have a rich life experience, embracing their whole, amazing, neurodiverse selves, and enjoy their interests which is why I am looking for this support. Because I have extremely limited additional support from extended family, I am also looking for someone to become an ongoing fixture in our family, someone who we can all come to love and trust. I'm also always up for new ideas, learning from other people and thinking differently and I'd love this person to bring their own experience to our family. The scope is initially just for T for Saturday's but I'd be open to extend the arrangement if it is working on both sides, including integrating T into some of the ILEAP group activities. I am so excited to meet anyone who is interested in becoming a part of our non-conventional, bursting with love and life little family.
Me, T and J can't wait to meet you.
Pay Rate: Lvl 3
Number of Hours: Every Saturday at Hatton Country World
Request from ILEAP Member: Minimum 6 hours 1:1 support every Wednesday.
Morning, collection from my home in Leamington Spa. In the afternoon, I attend the gym for a personal training session and afterwards go for a swim. In poor weather I will need transport to access the venue from our morning activities, but we can walk in fine weather. You will need to be a confident swimmer.
I am a manual wheelchair and K walker user, and the ideal candidate would need to lift these items into and out of the car so manual handling training is a must (can be provided by ILEAP). As I use a manual chair, you'd also need to be able to push this, and support me transitioning into and out of it on occasion.
If you are over 25 years of age, we can insure you on my car. Otherwise, we will need to use your car. Full and clean drivers license required.
Pay Rate: Lvl 3
Number of Hours: Min 6 hours per week, on a Wednesday
Request from ILEAP Member: My son is 6 years old and currently attends mainstream primary school. He has an EHCP, full-time 1:1 support, and has recently received an ASD diagnosis. We are based in Leamington Spa.
I am looking to increase my work hours, but am struggling to find suitable care for him to facilitate this. His school can only provide an after school club one day a week. I have been searching for what other options we could have. He can struggle with transitions, so I would ideally like to find something consistent and reliable for him, perhaps an individual he can build a rapport with.
So my ideal scenario at this point would be to find someone who could collect him from school 3 days a week, and provide about 2 hours of care / company. This could be at our home or elsewhere. Is this something that falls under your 1:1 service? He has many interests and would love many types of activity, as well as simply having company while he entertains himself. However, he needs someone with understanding and patience, who will let him do things in his own time, on his terms. So I am obviously wary about just approaching anyone, and am very hopeful that perhaps you could find him a match...?
