Children Activities
ILEAP offers inclusive activities for children and young people aged 4+, helping them build confidence, make friends and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
For children aged 4–8, our relaxed, family-friendly Stay and Play sessions offer sensory, creative and social activities for children to enjoy with their parents or carers.
As children grow, they can progress into a wider range of ILEAP activities that encourage independence, social skills and community participation.
Older members aged 13–18 may also have opportunities to volunteer alongside our experienced Peer Mentor Volunteers, building valuable skills, confidence and responsibility for the future.
We welcome ideas from families and shape activities around the interests and needs of our members.

Indulge in an Afternoon Tea on a vintage train!
Experience vintage steam travel at it's finest this Autumn.
The Shakespeare Pullman departs from historic Stratford-upon-Avon, travelling at express speeds through Warwickshire’s beautiful countryside. Your journey follows either the Shakespeare Line, with its original Great Western Railway heritage, or the Chiltern mainline.
At Birmingham, there’s time to watch the steam locomotive run around the train and capture photos of this magnificent sight before your return to Stratford.
Whilst we take in the views, the group will be served a delicious afternoon tea picnic. The menu will be released closer to departure date, but staff can cater for allergies and dietary intolerances. We will also ensure fussy eaters are catered for.
- Meet staff at 1.15pm at Stratford Train Station (the main station by Morrisons)
-Staff will take group and individual pictures with the train
-Depart at 1.40pm
-Enjoy an afternoon tea picnic aboard the train
-Return at 3.30pm, staff will stay trackside with the group to watch the train ‘come about'
-Pick up at 4pm

Our popular horse-riding session is back.
You must book for the whole term as you will be weighed and measured and allocated a horse at the first session, they cannot weigh people after the first session, so if you are looking to book after 14/04/26, please email
ILEAP has teamed up with the Riding for Disabled HQ at Lowlands for an after-school club to build your confidence around our equine friends whilst learning to ride.
The group of 6 is split into two smaller groups, each taking turns to ride in the manage. Beginners will be on guide ropes and each horse has a volunteer to support the participants. As they gain experience and confidence, participants will learn the techniques of steering, trotting and cantering.
Research has suggested that spending time with animals in an outdoor environment is beneficial to mental health and wellbeing.
